Signing

Interior Identity

Brand new signing and interior graphics for the revamped interior of Heemskerk’s Municipality in collaboration with architectural firm Proof of the Sum.

“With the ambition to bring together a large number of the municipality’s social partners under one roof, the new design of the town hall is a reality! Where separate reception desks or separate locations used to be the norm, one well-organised building has been created after the renovation, with a central network café as the heart of the building. The project focuses on connection and sustainability.”

For this project I researched the history of Heemskerk by biking through town and its beautiful nature, visiting castles and inhale its identity. I translated my findings to surface pattern designs for privacy foil and wallpaper. And created new icons for way finding in the reorganized building.

New working environment

Visiting the beautiful castles with their historical gardens with roses, fruit trees and fountains. All so beautifully taken care off by the inhabitants of Heemskerk. Translated these elements to a wallpaper design in the yellow hues of the ‘Knowledgegarden’ which serves as a presentation and meeting space.

Even as the stained glass inspiration from the Laurentius church, coloring the light of the sun coming through. Translated to a pastel color blocking for a wallpaper design in the corner launch spaces.
